And we’re back!

Welcome to the 2014-15 school year! We are all so very excited to see the children flood through that door on Tuesday, September 2nd. Here are some reminders for you to make sure the first day and week goes as smoothly as possible!

• You are welcome to walk your child down to the classroom on the first day of school. Please make your goodbyes brief and positive! We want the children to know that this is a safe, happy place where they can feel empowered! The PTO Welcome Back Coffee will be set up out front from 9:00 – 9:45 AM to allow you some time to linger just outside the doors, meet new parent friends, and celebrate the beginning of school. All are welcome.
• If you ordered online school supplies, please COME TO HALLINAN on LABOR DAY between 1-3 PM to pick them up! Thank you to everyone who has been so patient with the delay.
• The PTO Welcome Back BBQ is on Friday, September 5th from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. All families are welcome. There is a small cost for an outrageously delicious burger and sides.
• Please follow the direction of our staff in our school parking lot! This will help us keep the flow of traffic moving. Please also do not park in the bus loading area or handicapped spaces unless you are properly permitted. We ask that all drivers stay at the wheel of their car when in the parent pick up line – an unattended vehicle can cause a major back up and delay. We anticipate that the first day/week of school may have some delays that are longer than normal for buses and pick up in general. Please be patient. If there are any unusual delays, an email will go out to advise you.
• Please join us for Back to School Night on Tuesday, September 9th at 6:30. A separate blog post will go out detailing this event.
