PTO Bulletin

Hello Hallinan Families,

Welcome back to school!  It was great to see all the smiles on the kiddos this morning!

This is the first of many bulletins that you will receive throughout the year.  If all goes according to plan you will receive these emails every Wednesday.  The goal is give you as much information as possible while staying short and to the point.  As always should you need any more information please refer to our website www.hallinanpto.org for more information.  As of today here are the top priorities:

• Complete directory information and pay PTO Fees!

Deadline is Monday September 13^th.  All of this can be done online or on paper.  On the PTO invoice you will see a line for family membership.  If you can please do not forget to include this fee.  This is the easiest way to get all information you will need from the PTO regarding all PTO sponsored events going on at Hallinan.  This is separate from the student fees.

• THE BACK TO SCHOOL BBQ is Friday September 5^th 5p-8p!

Tickets are $5 each/$25 max per family.

WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS!  This BBQ could not happen without you!!! Please go to the signup genius and register for a shift to help us make this a memorable event!

• BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT is Tuesday September 9^th 630p-8p.  It’s a great time for parents (sorry no kids) to meet the staff, teachers and learn more about the school year!

• 1^st PTO meeting is Wednesday September 17^th 915a in Library loft.  Everyone is invited.

• SPIRIT WEAR!  Hallinan t-shirts and more are available for purchase.  Just go to the PTO website and click on the Spirit Wear link!  You can show your school spirit and support the school at the same time.

• Make sure you are saving your BOX TOPS!  Info on the next competition coming soon!

Our amazing sidewalk artists are at it again – special thanks to Esben & Mia Schroeder and Luke & Cooper Wyngarden for this awesome welcome back display!

Our Back to School Night will be coming up quickly – next week on Tuesday, September 9th from 6:30 – 8:00 PM. This is a parent only event. We will not have on site childcare available. This is one of the only parent only events (excluding the auction) that we hold at Hallinan, and we ask that you please arrange for the students to be at home.

The evening will begin in the gym with an overview of the upcoming events and focuses for the school year. From there, two IDENTICAL sessions will be held in classrooms for parents to hear from teachers about curriculum, procedures, volunteer opportunities, field trips, etc. The reason for two sessions is to give the opportunity for parents with more than one child at Hallinan to visit multiple classrooms. If you have more than two students at our school, you may need to divide and conquer as parents. 🙂

We had a fantastic first day and all of us are so happy to have our students back!  Special thanks to PTO for hosting the parent coffees!
