5 th Annual Spring Fundraiser

Finding a cure for childhood leukemia supporting the

OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and the BEAT AML Project

Sunday, May 31 at Lakeridge Junior High

Earlier this year, one of our Performing Company dancers, Anna age 11, was diagnosed with AML, the second-most common form of leukemia in children. She is currently receiving treatment. She loves dance! She is hoping to return to dance classes later this year. Anna and her family strongly believe in the dedicated work of the researchers and doctors of the Beat AML project at the Knight Cancer Institute. In honor of Anna, we are proud to donate all proceeds from our 2015 Spring Fundraiser show to the Beat AML project to find cures for acute myeloid leukemia at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute.

Bring your family and friends to the fundraiser show

featuring all of our Lake Oswego Academy of Dance dancers on

Sunday, May 31 at Lakeridge Junior High

4700 Jean Rd, Lake Oswego, 97035

Suggested donation is $5 per person to enjoy the shows and fun activities.

Our dancers will perform their recital routines in full costume, in a variety of dance styles. A new 30 minute show will begin at the top of each hour. Our first show is 10:00 am, and the last show is 5:00 pm.

Enjoy fun activities all day! face painting, art table, refreshments, and more! An additional donation will get you a ticket for a chance to win a variety of giveaways from area businesses. 100% of all donations collected will be given to Knight Cancer Institute. Our donations will help OHSU meet the $500 million match from Phil & Penny Knight.

Thank you to Lakeridge Junior High and the Lake Oswego School District for their support in planning this event. Come and enjoy our dancers, meet our staff and have fun while helping to find a cure for childhood leukemia!

Secretary for the Day!

Charlee

A big ‘thank you’ to our Secretary of the Day, Charlee Abbott.  Charlee was so helpful today and enjoyed answering the telephone, writing bus passes and tardy slips, drafting checks to pay bills, completing attendance, sorting mail and even posted some great information on our website under ‘news’ (check it out – it’s our summer hours!)  Charlee even made a delicious vanilla cake with rainbow sprinkles and organic strawberries for the staff! It was a great time and a fun time was had by all.

Last Day for Ducklings

Kindergarten says goodbye to the last of the ducklings today as they head off to their new homes on local farms!  We are thankful to have enjoyed learning about their development and watching them grow/explore their new world.  What an awesome experience this is for our kids every year.  Special thanks to all the Kindergarten teachers that put in the extra hours to make this happen!

I grabbed a couple pictures of Mrs. Cole’s ducks out and about at Hallinan.  Here’s one you might enjoy!
