Just a reminder that the first day of school for grades 1-5 is August 31st.

Kindergarten will have individual assessment appointments from 8/31 – 9/2.  An email with a sign up link will be emailed to all Kinder families so that you may select a thirty minute time frame.  School begins for all Kindergartners on Thursday, September 3rd.

Labor Day is still a nonschool day on Monday, September 7th.

We are excited to invite everyone to our first whole school Open House!  We will be unveiling the new library, which has been recently made over (and it looks incredible!), and all class lists will be posted in the building.  You are invited to visit your student’s classroom(s) and meet the teacher(s) during the first hour.  If you pre-ordered school supplies, they will be available for pick up.  We ask that everyone bring supplies with them so that you do not have to fuss with them on the first day of school.  At 4:00, we will start up the festivities outside.  Food and activities will be available so that kids and parents can play, catch up with one another, and celebrate the start of a new school year!

Note: we will not be sending class assignments electronically.  If you cannot attend the Open House, please ask a neighbor or friend to check for you!  We are also happy to help in the front office – shoot us an email after Thursday, 8/27 at 3:00 PM.

It’s hard to believe, but the days are dwindling down and before you know it, school will be starting!  It has been a lovely (HOT) summer, and I am looking forward to another amazing school  year with our students and staff.  Here are some reminders to help ease the transition:

• Label your new lunchboxes, backpacks, and Fall jackets
• Put our Open House and BBQ on your calendar for Thursday, August 27th from 3:00 – 6:30 PM.
